2016 (Senior)
Started all 12 games at quarterback for the second year in a row … Named NSU’s Offensive MVP … Also for the second year in a row, Hankerson led NSU in both rushing and passing yardage … Ranked eighth in the MEAC with 540 yards rushing, including six touchdowns … His 1,718 passing yards were fifth-most in the conference … Was third in the MEAC with 2,258 yards of total offense … Threw eight touchdown passes … Had his best game of the year in a loss to Howard, completing 25-of-35 passes for 366 yards while also rushing for two scores … Set new career highs in completions and yards … Also threw two touchdown passes in the win over Elizabeth City State and a season-high three against Morgan State … Passed for 219 yards in the win over MSU … Played in the HBCU Spirit of America Bowl Game in Virginia Beach for college seniors following the season … Left school third all-time in total offense at NSU (4,733 total yards).
