Biography

Graduated in December of 2016 and left school with one year of eligibility remaining to pursue other interests outside of football.

2016 (Junior)
All-MEAC third-team linebacker … Started all 10 games in which he played at outside linebacker … Missed the William & Mary game due to injury … Was second on the team with 82 total tackles, and first among Spartan defenders and second in the MEAC with 8.2 tackles per game … Made five tackles for loss, intercepted three passes and deflected three additional passes … Reached double figures in tackles three times, beginning with a career-high 15 tackles (0.5 TFL) against N.C. Central … Had 10 tackles, 1.5 for loss, with one interception at N.C. A&T … Made 11 tackles with one for loss and one pass breakup the following week against Bethune-Cookman … Made eight tackles against both Morgan State and S.C. State, both Spartan victories … Also intercepted a pass vs. MSU and had 1.5 tackles for loss – tying a career high – at SCSU … Made five tackles against Hampton … Intercepted a pass and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter of the Hampton victory ... Earned MEAC Co-Defensive MVP honors for his performance in the Battle of the Bay win.

2015 (Sophomore)
Appeared in eight games on the season, seeing action in the first four and final four games … Played both special teams and on defense at linebacker … Made six tackles on the year, two solos and four assists … Forced a fumble which teammate Sandy Chapman recovered at Rutgers … Had a career-high three tackles (all assisted) at Marshall … Had a solo tackle for loss in the win over Hampton … Named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters and was named to the MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team.

2014 (Freshman)
Played in all 12 games … Contributed on special teams units and as a reserve linebacker … Was in on five tackles on the season, one each against Buffalo, Morgan State and Savannah State and two at South Carolina State … A member of the MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team … Earned a spot on the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters.

2013 (Redshirt)
Redshirted the season … Earned a spot on the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for the fall 2013 semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA … Also a member of the NSU AD Honor Roll for the spring 2014 semester.

High School
Lettered three years on the varsity team at King’s Fork … First-team All-Southeastern District linebacker as a senior after recording 59 tackles, five tackles for loss and one interception … Also named to the All-Tidewater second team by The Virginian-Pilot … Helped lead the Bulldogs to their first-ever berth in the Eastern Region playoffs … Honorable mention all-district and team defensive MVP as a junior.
