Former Spartan player Antoine Perry was hired in May of 2016 to serve as the director of operations for the Norfolk State men’s basketball program.
His duties at NSU include assisting with certain aspects of recruiting, managing the team’s budget, film exchange and video operations, hiring and supervising team managers, assisting with compliance issues, and serving as the co-coordinator of the Spartan Nation basketball camp.
Perry will also oversee the strength and conditioning program for both the NSU men’s and women’s basketball teams.
Prior to joining NSU, he was a graduate team manager for the Virginia Tech men’s basketball program of the ACC for two seasons from 2014-16, where he performed a variety of duties under head coach Buzz Williams.
Before his time at Tech, he was an assistant coach at Nansemand River High School in Suffolk for three seasons while working a variety of camps in the Hampton Roads area.
A native of Norfolk and a graduate of Booker T. Washington HS, Perry played for four seasons on the Spartan basketball team from 2006-10. He competed in 77 games with the Spartans, including nine starts, during his four-year career.
Perry earned his degree in business management from Norfolk State in 2010.
