2019-20 (Redshirt Senior Year)
A first-team All-MEAC performer, NSU’s first first-teamer since 2017 … Also made his way onto the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 15 second team, and the BOXTOROW HBCU Division I All-America second team … Received the Leigh Williams Memorial Award from the Norfolk Sports Club as Virginia’s top collegiate student-athlete … Earned a spot on the College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) Division I Academic All-District 3 team, the first basketball player in NSU history to earn academic all-district accolades … Member of the MEAC All-Academic Team and the AD’s Honor Roll in the spring … Competed in and started all 31 games, the only player to see time in all 31 … Led the team with 15.6 points per game while adding 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.4 minutes per game … Averaged 18.5 points in MEAC games … Shot 40.5 percent from the floor (160-of-395), including 98-of-248 from deep (39.5 percent) … Also made 65-of-76 from the free throw line (85.5 percent) … Set the school record for 3-pointers (98) and 3-point attempts (248) … Broke the previous marks of 92 (set by Derrik Jamerson Jr. in 2018-19 and Ralph Tally in 1986-87) and 237 (set by Tony Murphy in 2007-08), respectively … Along with teammate Joe Bryant Jr., also set the school’s Division I record for free throw percentage (85.5), topping the previous best of 83.3 percent held by two players … Ranked first in the MEAC in 3-point field goals (3.2), second in free throw percentage (85.5), fourth in scoring (15.6), fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (39.5), seventh in minutes (33.4), and 15th in assists (2.2) … In MEAC games only, led the league in 3-point field goals (3.8) and free throw percentage (87.2) and stood second in scoring (18.5), fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (41.8), ninth in minutes (34.6), and 14th in steals (1.2) … Ranked 11th in the nation in 3-point field goals (3.16), 31st in 3-point field goal percentage (39.5), No. 201 in points (15.6), and No. 235 in minutes (33:22) … Also ended the season 34th in NCAA Division I active career leaders in free throw percentage (85.4) and No. 290 in 3-pointers (142) … Along with 3-pointers, 3-point attempts and free throw percentage, in NSU D-I records also ranked 11th in field goal attempts (395), 12th in 3-point field goal percentage (39.5), and 14th in points per game (15.6) and minutes (1,035) … His free throw percentage of 85.5 ranked third in NSU overall season records … After just one season, ended the year ranked ninth in NSU career records in 3-point field goal percentage and 19th in 3-pointers … For the year, totaled 483 points, 109 rebounds, 69 assists, 32 steals and four blocks … Scored in double figures in 26 of 31 games, including the last 17 games of the year … Had nine games with 20 or more points, including the last three of the season … Went for a season-high 26 points in a win over Howard on Feb. 29, shooting 8-of-15 overall, a career-best 6-of-11 from deep, with three rebounds … Made a season-high 9-of-18 overall, 6-of-12 from 3-point range, with seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a win at Delaware State on March 2 … Also added 21 points on 6-of-12 shooting, a season-best 6-of-6 from the free throw line, with three assists and two steals in a win at Morgan State on March 5 … Made six 3-pointers a third time, in a win over Coppin State on Feb. 17 … Shot 8-of-13 overall for 24 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals … Tallied 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting in a win over the Apprentice School on Nov. 14 … Added 24 points on 7-of-12 shooting, 5-of-9 from deep, with four rebounds and four assists at Northwestern on Nov. 22 … In back-to-back wins at Coppin State on Jan. 6 and at Howard on Jan. 11, totaled 21 points (7-of-15 shooting, 5-of-9 from deep) with three rebounds, two assists and two steals, as well as 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting, 5-of-7 from deep … His 5-of-7 effort ranks as the 11th-best percentage in a game in NSU’s D-I history … Had one other 20-point game, a 20-point outing on 8-of-12 shooting, 4-of-6 from 3-point range, in a win over Florida A&M on Jan. 27 … Grabbed a career-high nine rebounds with 17 points against Niagara on Dec. 1 … Had season highs of seven assists at North Carolina Central on Feb. 3 and three steals in a win over PSU Wilkes-Barre on Nov. 8 … Played in a season-high 40 points in an overtime win over Bowling Green on Dec. 20 … Scored 18 points in back-to-back wins at home against Delaware State (Feb. 8) and Morgan State (Feb. 15) with a combined nine rebounds … Also had 18 points at Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 24 … Tied the school record shared by two other players with 15 3-point attempts against Delaware State … Also had the seventh-most attempts in NSU D-I history with 13 at Bethune-Cookman.
