2008-09: Tallied his third straight All-MEAC honor by placing fifth overall (25:59.88)…ran a season-best time of 25:31 at the Spartan Invitational at Virginia Wesleyan College.
2007-08: Earned All-MEAC honors for the second consecutive year…finished the 8K MEAC course in 26:27, good for sixth place…ran a season-best time of 25:07 at the Tribe Open, placing seventh overall…came in fourth at the UMES Lid-Lifter and 19th at the Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge.
2006-07: Enjoyed a fine rookie season…was second among NSU’s runners at the Paul Short Invitational, running a time of 25:20 to place 58th overall…named All-MEAC after coming in fifth at the conference championship meet (25:42.90)…finished 23rd overall in 26:00.70 at the Lou Onesty Invitational.
Personal: Jonathan Soimo was born on December 28, 1984…son of James and Magret Bassy…brother Kiplagat runs for Louisville.
