2014-15: Indoor: Threw an indoor season best 46-1.25 in the shot put at the Penn State National, where she finished sixth … Placed third in both the shot put and weight throw at the MEAC Indoor Championship … Threw a PR of 52-11 in the weight throw at the conference championship, and recorded a mark of 44-11.5 in the shot put as well … Threw 49-5.5 in the weight throw at the Penn State National. 2013-14: Indoor: Third-place finisher in the shot put at the MEAC Indoor Championship (45-8.5) … Also scored for NSU in the weight throw at the conference championship, placing eighth (48-2.5) … Set a new indoor PR with a throw of 46-10.75 in the shot put, good for third place at the Penn State Relays … Won the shot put (45-7.25) and weight throw (season-best 50-2) at the UMES Coach O Invitational, earning her the MEAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week award … Also earned fifth place in the shot put at the Joe Hilton Invitational (43-9.25). 2012-13: Indoor: Registered a then season-best indoor shot put distance of 46 feet, 10 inches on two occasions … The first 46-10 helped Howell take third at the Penn State Relays … Her second toss of 46-10 was good enough for fourth place at the MEAC Indoor Championship … Also eclipsed 46 feet with a throw of 46-1.5 to win the event title at her first collegiate meet, the CNU Holiday Open … Went 46-2 to win the shot put at the team’s next meet at CNU, the Captains Invitational in January … Howell also finished second in the weight throw (48-2.5) at that meet … Had a season-best weight throw of 51-11.75, good for 10th place at the Hokie Invitational … placed fourth in the weight throw (50-2.5) at the conference indoor championship.
