2014-15: Indoor: Threw an indoor season best 46-1.25 in the shot put at the Penn State National, where she finished sixth … Placed third in both the shot put and weight throw at the MEAC Indoor Championship … Threw a PR of 52-11 in the weight throw at the conference championship, and recorded a mark of 44-11.5 in the shot put as well … Threw 49-5.5 in the weight throw at the Penn State National. Outdoor: MEAC Outdoor Championship Women’s Most Outstanding Field Athlete for the third year in a row … Had 25 of NSU’s 76 points … Won MEAC outdoor titles in both the javelin (143 feet) and discus (145-11) … Also placed fourth in the shot put at the MEAC meet (44-4.75) … Took third place in the shot put with a season-best 45-6.25 at Morgan State … Was also third in the discus at MSU … Placed second in the shot put at the Colonial Relays (44-4.75), third in the discus (143-4) and seventh in the javelin (130-7) … Earned two top-10 finishes at the Penn Relays, taking third in the college javelin (PR of 145-11) and seventh in the discus (school-record and PR of 158-3) … Named NSU women’s track MVP for the second year in a row … Earned a spot on the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for the spring semester.

2013-14: Indoor: Third-place finisher in the shot put at the MEAC Indoor Championship (45-8.5) … Also scored for NSU in the weight throw at the conference championship, placing eighth (48-2.5) … Set a new indoor PR with a throw of 46-10.75 in the shot put, good for third place at the Penn State Relays … Won the shot put (45-7.25) and weight throw (season-best 50-2) at the UMES Coach O Invitational, earning her the MEAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week award … Also earned fifth place in the shot put at the Joe Hilton Invitational (43-9.25). Outdoor: MEAC Women’s Most Outstanding Field Athlete at the conference outdoor championship after earning 22 of NSU’s 79 points … Placed in the top three in all three throwing events, including runner-up finishes in the javelin (140-05) and discus (149-0) and a third-place effort in the shot put (46-6) … Season-best shot put throw was 47-3.5, good for third place at the Morgan State Legacy Meet … Took sixth place in the college section of the shot put at the Penn Relays (45-3) … Named MEAC Field Athlete of the Week after placing third in the shot put (44-4) and discus (season-best 149-7) and 10th in the javelin (126-7) at the Colonial Relays … Was second in the discus (146-0) and fourth in the javelin (127-5) at the Virginia Cup … named the team’s Co-MVP.

2012-13: Indoor: Registered a then season-best indoor shot put distance of 46 feet, 10 inches on two occasions … The first 46-10 helped Howell take third at the Penn State Relays … Her second toss of 46-10 was good enough for fourth place at the MEAC Indoor Championship … Also eclipsed 46 feet with a throw of 46-1.5 to win the event title at her first collegiate meet, the CNU Holiday Open … Went 46-2 to win the shot put at the team’s next meet at CNU, the Captains Invitational in January … Howell also finished second in the weight throw (48-2.5) at that meet … Had a season-best weight throw of 51-11.75, good for 10th place at the Hokie Invitational … placed fourth in the weight throw (50-2.5) at the conference indoor championship. Outdoor: NCAA East Preliminary Round qualifier in the shot put … Qualified thanks to her season-best throw of 48-2.75 at the Penn Relays … Howell finished sixth in the college shot put and 10th in the college discus (season-best 151-2) at the Penn Relays … Placed in the top five in both events at the MEAC Outdoor Championship, tying for MEAC Co-Most Outstanding Field Athlete honors … Was fifth in the shot put (46-2) and second in the discus (145-2) … was also top-five in both events at the Morgan State Legacy Meet … Named the women’s track team’s Co-Rookie of the Year along with teammate Rachel Webb.
