Played in 36 games…was named the team’s Most Improved Player…among the 2007 returning players, Cherry is fourth in kills per game (1.44) and second in assists per game (0.17)…was second on the team with 1.97 digs per game…had a match-high 15 digs against Morgan State (10-13-06)…recorded seven kills and one ace in that game…had seven kills and three digs in the win over Winston-Salem State (9-24-06)…tallied eight digs, three block assists and two aces against Delaware State (10-14-06)…had 13 digs and nine kills in five games against Hampton (10-14-06). 

2005 (Freshman Year)
Played in 50 games…Received the team’s Hustle Award…was third on the team with 1.46 kills per game and sixth in digs per game (1.38)…had a season-and career-high 16 kills against South Carolina State (10-22-05)…tallied eight digs, two kills, two block assists and one ace against Wofford (8-27-05)…had four kills and seven digs in the win over Southern University (9-2-05). 

High School
Lettered four years in volleyball and basketball… was a first-team all-district pick in volleyball her last three years…was second-team all-district in basketball as a junior and senior…helped her team win the volleyball district championship as a junior…also ran track for Churchland.
