Jordan Howard joins the Norfolk State volleyball program in 2026 as a volunteer assistant coach, bringing hands-on coaching experience along with a background as a decorated collegiate and professional player.

Howard arrives at Norfolk State after serving as Head Coach of Coastal Cities Volleyball Club, a role he took on in November 2024. There, he worked individually with athletes to sharpen fundamentals and elevate their overall performance, restructured practices and scrimmages to raise the team's competitive edge, and prioritized open communication with athletes, parents, and administrators to keep the program aligned and supported at every level.

Before moving into coaching, Howard was an accomplished player in his own right. He competed at the NCAA Division II level at Kentucky State, before turning professional, spending time with a Volleyball League of America team in Kentucky. He was a two-time All-Conference selection (2022, 2024), a two-time Most Valuable Player (2023, 2024), and was named Offensive Player of the Year in 2021.

Howard earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kentucky State University in 2024 and graduated with Honors from Deep Creek High School in 2020. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
