Biography
2007 (Junior Year)
Named the team’s Most Valuable Player at the athletics department awards banquet…saw an expanded playing time during the season, playing in all 104 games and starting 29 matches…averaged 1.89 kills and 2.49 digs per game…hit .061 for the season and had 14 service aces and 22 assists…had five solo blocks and 29 total blocks on the year…had double-digit kills in five matches, including four straight matches of 10 kills each…had season-highs of 16 kills and 18 digs in the 3-1 win over Bethune-Cookman (11-2-07)…recorded double-digit digs on 10 occassions…had her first double-double of the season against Hampton (9-22-07)…had 10 kills and 10 digs in that match…hit a season-high .375 with 10 kills and seven digs against Winston-Salem State (9-20-07)…had double-digit kills in seven of the last 11 games of the season…had two aces against Loyola (8-25-07), South Carolina State (10-2-07), and Winston-Salem State (11-9-07).
2006 (Sophomore Year)
Played in 16 games…had a .053 hitting percentage, 11 kills, five aces and four blocks for the season…had two kills and an ace in the win over Quinnipiac (8-26-06)…had two digs against William & Mary (9-1-06) and three against St. John’s (9-2-06).
2005 (Freshman Year)
Played in 15 games…was third on the team in hitting percentage (.056)…had two kills in the win over Winston-Salem State (9-3-05)…also played for the women’s basketball team, averaging 0.7 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.
High School
A four-year letterwinner in basketball and volleyball at Indian River…was a first-team All-Southeastern District selection each of her four years in volleyball…was an honorable mention all-district pick in basketball her first three years and was named to the first team as a senior…helped the Braves to the district basketball championship each of her four years, and to the state Group AAA playoffs as a sophomore and junior…named Most Improved player in basketball as a freshman and Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore…was the MVP of the basketball team her senior year.
