HAMPTON, Va. — The Hampton University volleyball team improved to 11-19 on the season with a 3-0 win (30-26, 30-28, 30-22) over Norfolk State Tuesday night at the HU Convocation Center. NSU fell to 6-25 with the loss.
Hampton's Ese Ighedosa led all players with 12 kills and a .233 hitting percentage. Aaryn Harrison had 11 kills and seven digs, while Alyssa Jackson had a match-high 17 digs.
For NSU,
Shardonay Blueford (Chesapeake, Va.) had six kills and 12 digs and
Yolanda Roberts (Virginia Beach, Va.) tallied five kills and seven digs.
Solange Honore (San Fernando, Trinidad) had 20 assists and
Abaina Farrell (Charlotte Amalie, U.S.V.I.) had 10 digs.
The Spartans play their final home game of the season on Friday at 7 p.m. when they host the Lady Rams of Winston-Salem State.
