NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk State men's tennis team got its 2008 season off to a difficult start last Sunday, dropping a 7-0 decision at No. 38 Old Dominion.

The Monarchs (3-0) swept all three doubles match to take a 1-0 lead, then claimed all six singles matches. The closest singles match came at No. 4, where NSU's Vassil Zahariev (Sofia, Bulgaria) won the first set over Dan Couzens, 6-3. But Couzens rallied to take the final two sets, 6-4, 6-3.

NSU returns to action Saturday against UNC Greensboro at 10 a.m. The match will be played indoors at ODU's Folkes-Stevens Indoor Tennis Center.
