BOZEMAN, Mont.
– Ryan Toolson scored 20 points to lead Utah Valley University to a 75-68 win over Norfolk State, sending the Spartans (1-10) to their school-record 10th consecutive loss on Sunday evening in the 2008 Bobcat 6th Man Club GranTree Inn Classic at Montana State's Worthington Arena.

The 10-game losing streak breaks the old school record of nine set in 1997-98, NSU's first year in Division I.

Michael Deloach (Rocky Mount, N.C.) scored a game-high 23 points and Corey Lyons (Bronx, N.Y.) added 19 for the Spartans.

The Wolverines (7-4) shot 54 percent for the game and 55 in the second half. They led 37-22 at the half after NSU committed nine turnovers in the opening 20 minutes.

UVU stretched its lead to as much as 22 points in the second half before Lyons cut it to seven with a field goal with 1:28 remaining. But NSU could get no closer.

Deloach added five rebounds and four of the Spartan' 12 steals. Kyle O'Quinn (Jamaica, N.Y.) scored 11 points off the bench and Aleek Pauline (Jamaica, N.Y.) scored 10 for the second straight game.

Jourdain Scoubes contributed 13 points and Jordan Swarbrick 10 for the Wolverines.

NSU plays at 7 p.m. ET Monday in the consolation round against NAIA school Lethbridge, which lost 89-60 later Sunday night to host Montana State. Utah Valley faces MSU at 9:30 p.m. ET Monday in the championship game.
