NORFOLK, Va. — Junior guard Michael Deloach (Rocky Mount, N.C.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Deloach averaged 23 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 62.5 percent from the floor in leading NSU (11-10, 7-2 MEAC) to a pair of wins over Howard and Bethune-Cookman. Against Howard, Deloach scored 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor. He also had four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Against Bethune-Cookman, Deloach scored a career-high 30 points, 26 in the second half and overtime, to help the Spartans rally from a 24-point deficit. He hit the game-winning jumper with 0.6 seconds left in OT, giving the Spartans a 78-77 win. Deloach was 15-of-21 from the free throw line, setting a new school record for free throws attempted in a game. 
Deloach was 7-of-12 from the floor against the Wildcats and also had four rebounds, four assists and three steals.
