NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State University softball team will host the program's second televised game on Wednesday, April 30 when the Spartans face Hampton at the NSU Softball Field. ESPNU will televise the first game of the teams' non-conference doubleheader, with the first pitch scheduled for 2:05 p.m.

NSU (16-29) dropped a three-game Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference series at North Carolina A&T this past weekend, losing the doubleheader 12-4, 8-0 (both in five innings) on Saturday and falling 7-4 in the rubber game on Sunday.

Hampton (26-15) won two of three games in its weekend series against Delaware State, splitting the Saturday games (W 1-0, L 5-4) and winning 11-2 on Sunday to take the series.

Admission to the game is free. Fans are encouraged to wear green and gold to show their support for the softball team.
