Spartans Face Kentucky on Saturday

Game Notes

NORFOLK, Va.
- Fresh off a 47-7 season-opening win over Virginia State last Saturday, the Norfolk State football team faces a Division I FBS (I-A) opponent for the second season in a row when it plays Kentucky on Saturday night at 6 p.m. in Lexington.

After dropping a 59-0 decision to No. 13 Rutgers in New Jersey last season, the Spartans face the Wildcats (1-0) this year. Kentucky is 1-0 after an impressive 27-2 win over Louisville last Sunday. UK went 8-5 in 2007 and was one of two teams to beat eventual BCS national champion LSU. The Wildcats capped their 2007 season with a win over Florida State in the Music City Bowl.

NSU fans can hear all the action on WNSB Hot 91.1 FM in the Hampton Roads area. WNSB's audio steam is available here. Live stats are available through Kentucky's athletics web site, www.ukathletics.com. The game can also be seen in some areas on ESPN GamePlan pay-per-view, and on ESPN360.com.
