NSU Women Host St. Paul’s in Home Opener

NORFOLK, Va. — The Spartans (0-2) host Division II St. Paul's in their home opener tonight after a nail-biting 77-75 overtime loss at Wofford on Wednesday. Sophomore guard Whitney Long (Raleigh, N.C.) matched her career-high with 19 points, while sophomore guard Marquilla Evans (Portsmouth, Va.) contributed 15 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

St. Paul's (0-1) fell 80-66 at Catawba on Tuesday. The Lady Tigers were led by Tatiana Ellis who had 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field, including a team-high 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Allukeshia Guy had 14 points and DeAudra Brown added 11.
