NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State guard Michael Deloach (Rocky Mount, N.C.) earned honorable mention recognition on the 2009 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) University Division Men's Basketball Team.

Deloach led the MEAC in scoring (21.5 points per game) after pouring in a school single-season record 666 points. He also ranked in the MEAC's top 20 in rebounds (4.9), assists (2.8), steals (2.0), field-goal percentage (.455), 3-point percentage (.330), free-throw percentage (.715) and minutes played (36.2) while helping the Spartans (13-18) advance to the school's first-ever MEAC Tournament finals appearance.

The award caps off a memorable year individually for Deloach, who was also a first-team All-MEAC and second-team NABC All-District 15 selection.
