Spartans Return from Exam Break, Travel to Maine

Game Notes

NORFOLK, Va.
- The NSU men's basketball team returns to the court after a week off for exams this Sunday, when the Spartans (1-6) visit Maine (3-5). Tip-off is at noon in Memorial Gym.

The Spartans will be looking to break a five-game losing streak. The skid reached five games after an 89-81 defeat at North Carolina A&T in the Spartans' MEAC opener on Dec. 4. NSU did place four players in double figures in that game, led by Kyle O'Quinn with 27 points and 18 rebounds, and Rob Hampton with 19 points.

Maine improved to 3-5 on the season with a 68-56 win at UMass on Wednesday.

The teams have met once previously, with NSU earning a 72-71 victory on Nov. 16, 2009 in Norfolk. O'Quinn hit the game-winning shot with five seconds left in that one.
