NORFOLK, Va. – Christian Ings and
Jaylani Darden will compete in the seventh annual National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) HBCU Top 50 Camp this week.

Held from July 31 to August 2 at Morehouse College, the signature event is modeled after the renowned NBPA Top 100 camp and is specifically designed to foster the holistic development of elite HBCU athletes both on and off the court.

Over the course of 2.5 impactful days, participants will refine their high-level basketball skills while also engaging in meaningful sessions on leadership, mental wellness, and career development. Eagerly led by a dynamic team of current and former NBA players, certified mental health professionals, and industry experts, this camp provides an immersive experience that cultivates the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary for life beyond the game.

Ings earned All-MEAC Third Team honors as a senior, averaging 12.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 48.9 percent from the field and 47.3 percent from arc. He represented the Spartans on a national stage, winning the College Slam Dunk Championship with several show-stopping leaps.

Darden started 28 games for the Spartans last season, averaging 6.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per contest. He ranked fourth in the MEAC with 1.4 steals per game, averaging 2.2 steals per game during conference play. He scored 15 points in the Spartans' NCAA Tournament matchup against Florida, adding six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
