WILLIAMSBURG, Va.
– The Norfolk State men's tennis team capped its regular season with a 7-0 defeat on Saturday at William & Mary's Busch Tennis Courts.

The Tribe (16-9) earned a pair of 8-1 doubles wins to earn the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead in the match. W&M then took all six singles matches for the 7-0 victory.

The toughest singles match came at the No. 2 spot as sophomore Ben Marks (Worcestershire, England) won the first set 7-6 (4) over W&M's Adrian Vodislav. But Vodislav rallied to win the next set, 6-3, and won 10-5 in the super tiebreaker to decide the third and final set.

W&M won the other four contested singles matches in straight sets.

The Spartans (3-14) have the next week off before competing in the 2010 MEAC Tennis Championships beginning April 16 in Raleigh, N.C.
