NORFOLK, Va. – Another non-conference test awaits the Norfolk State volleyball program this week, as the Spartans renew their series with William & Mary on Tuesday at Joseph Echols Hall. First serve is slated to begin at 6 p.m.

The two teams have not met since 2008 when NSU faced off against the Tribe at a tournament at North Carolina State. They met once a season from 2003-08 and have played 11 times all-together, with William & Mary winning every time.

Both live stats and a live video feed will be available for the match.

NSU ended an 11-match losing streak with a 3-0 victory over Morgan State on Sunday and now sits 3-16 overall, 1-1 in conference play. William & Mary owns a 10-6 record on the season, including a 2-1 mark in CAA play.

Senior Charlotte Armstead carried the NSU offense over the weekend, which also included a 3-0 loss to Coppin State Friday night, and now leads the team with 3.03 kills per set. Senior Beatriz Ferreira ranks second with 2.28 kills, with freshman Jessica Johnson (1.59) and junior Coralie Jarema (1.57) also chipping in. Jarema also averages 0.29 service aces, ranking second on the team behind sophomore Adriana Ramos (0.30).

Ramos stands second with 1.99 digs as well behind team leader Noelle Eagles. The redshirt sophomore averages 3.79 digs per set. Jarema ranks second in blocks with 0.71, with junior Goda Jankauskaite tops on the team with 0.76.

Leader on Offense
Armstead has led or tied for the team lead in kills in 14 of the team's 19 matches this year, including the last eight contests in a row. After surpassing Kim Mumford for the school record in kills two weekends ago, Armstead now sits 18 away from topping 1,000 for her career.
