NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk State women's tennis team travels to Newport News, Va., on Friday to take on Christopher Newport.

The Spartans (2-1) are coming off of a 7-0 win against N.C. A&T on Feb. 2 at the Centre Court Racquet Club in Newport News, Va.

This will be CNU's first contest of the 2013 season. The Captains ranked 17th in the South Atlantic region of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Preseason National and Regional Poll.

The matches will take place at 12 p.m. at the CNU Courts in Newport News, Va.
