NSU Beats Chowan, 6-0

NORFOLK, Va. –The Norfolk State men's tennis team posted its third consecutive win of the season with a 6-0 victory over Chowan on Friday afternoon at the NSU Tennis Complex.

NSU improved to 8-6 on the season and Chowan fell to 2-8 overall.

Peter Ramstromer-Pello and Dzmitry Zyhmantovich led off the doubles matches for NSU with an 8-1 win over Pedro Aiala and Danilo Galovic. In match No. 2, Daniel Grauel and Robin Riethmueller defeated Sasha Kirsanov and Ivan Doubograev, 8-2.

Zyhmantovich competed in the No. 1 singles position, where he defeated Aiala, 6-1, 6-3. At the No. 2 spot, Igor Braga claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win over Galovic. Riethmueller competed in match No. 3 and posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Kirsanov. In match No. 4, Grauel defeated Scott Van Eck, 6-0, 6-2. Ramstromer-Pello competed at the No. 5 spot where he came out with 6-0, 6-0 win over Jaqwese Williams.

NSU will host Delaware on Wednesday at the NSU Tennis Complex in Norfolk, Va. Play begins at 2 p.m.
