Meet Results

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – In his first track meet as a Spartan, sophomore Chris Crawford took fourth place in the long jump Saturday as the NSU men opened up the 2014 portion of their indoor schedule at the Penn State Relays.

Crawford's top jump was 22 feet, 3.5 inches, easily the best showing among a small contingent of NSU men's field athletes who competed Saturday.

Other highlights for the Spartan men included redshirt freshman Michael Smith, who took fifth place in the 60-meter hurdles (8.36 seconds); Devante Cherry recorded an eighth-place finish in the 200 meters (22.71); and sophomore Clifton Thompson finished 12th in the weight throw in his first collegiate meet (42-10.25).

The Spartans are back in action this weekend at the Hampton University Invitational.
