NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State freshman Nicole Rivera Santiago was named the MEAC Bowler of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

She led NSU to a 9-4 record and a fourth-place finish at the Lady Bulldog Classic over the weekend at the AMF Laurel Lanes. The rookie out of Ponce, Puerto Rico averaged 195.8 in five games on Saturday, including back-to-back 200 games.

She also bowled in all five Baker games on Friday when NSU went undefeated as well as all three games on Sunday in bracket play.

For the year, Rivera Santiago ranks second on the team with a 193.8 average in 18 games.

NSU will be back on the lanes this weekend at the Kutztown Invitational from Jan. 24-26.
