NORFOLK, Va. - The Spartans take to the road for the Thanksgiving holiday seeking their first wins of the year as they participate in Tennessee State University's Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic in Nashville, Tenn. NSU faces host Tennessee State on Saturday at 4 p.m. (3 p.m. CT), followed by Nicholls State on Sunday at 1 p.m. (12 CT) at the Gentry Center.
Last Time OutElo Edeferioka had game highs of 16 points and 15 rebounds, and Hofstra limited Norfolk State to 30.5 percent shooting in a 64-47 Pride victory on Sunday afternoon at Echols Hall.  The taller Pride utscored NSU (0-4) 36-18 in the paint and used a stingy zone defense to keep the Spartans winless on the year. NSU shot just 18-of-59 for the game and 6-of-27 (22 percent) in the second half. For the second straight game, the Spartans failed to make a 3-pointer, missing all nine of their attempts.

Aivah Parham led NSU with nine points apiece. Brehanna Daniels had a season-high eight. Corbo grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and 
Kayla Roberts added six. Corbo also tallied four assists and four steals.
All-Time Series vs. TSU, NichollsNSU is 0-1 all-time against Tennessee State, a 91-70 Lady Tigers' win in the Spartans' first season in Division I (1997-98) in Atlanta. NSU and Nicholls State have never played each other.
About TSUTennessee State is 1-3 on the year after a 97-46 loss at No. 4 Tennessee on Monday night. The Lady Tigers' lone win of the season was a 73-55 triumph at Lipscomb on Nov. 22. TSU is led by Chelsea Hudson, who averages 13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Rachel Allen, who scored 13 points at UT, checks in at 9.3. Briana Morrow leads the team with 7.5 rebounds per game. TSU was predicted to finish sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference preseason poll, while Hudson was a preseason all-OVC selection.
About Nicholls StateNicholls State of the Southland Conference enters this week's tournament with a 1-1 mark following its 87-84 win over Southern University at New Orleans on Nov. 18. Emani White - the team's leading scorer at 23.5 ppg - hit the game-winning jumper with 16 seconds left in that contest en route to a career-high 37 points. The Colonels were picked to finish fourth in the Southland Conference by league sports information directors and sixth by league coaches.
