NORFOLK, Va. – Senior Brandon Goode of the Norfolk State men's basketball team was named the MEAC co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, the conference office announced.

Goode finished with 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for his second straight double-double as NSU held back Coppin State 73-68 on Saturday at CSU's Physical Education Complex.

For the season, Goode is averaging 11.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting 62.1 percent from the field. He ranks second in the conference in shooting percentage and fifth in rebounds and blocks.

It marks the third time this season Goode has earned the defensive player of the week honor.

The Spartans face Howard on Monday at Burr Gymnasium in Washington, D.C.
