NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's team claimed a 6-0 victory over Coppin State on Thursday evening at the Everett Tennis Center.

NSU (7-5) swept the singles competition for the second match in a row. Dzmitry Zyhmantovich, who was named the MEAC Player of the Week, posted a 6-3, 6-1 win against Oleksiy Krylchuk. Robin Riethmueller competed at the No. 2 spot, where he defeated Daniel Nino, 6-2, 6-1. At the No. 3 position, Igor Braga claimed a 6-0, 6-0 win over Tre'vonne Peyton. Peter Ramstromer-Pello claimed a 6-1, 6-1 victory against Patrick Thomas. Daniel Grauel competed at the No. 5 spot, where he upended Reginald Robinson, 6-0, 6-0. Kent Austin closed things out with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Roderick Peyton.

NSU returns to action on Friday against Maryland Eastern Shore. The match is set to begin at 10 a.m. at the Everett Tennis Center on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan.
