NORFOLK, Va. – Fans can get their first full glimpse of the Norfolk State men's basketball team this Tuesday. The Spartans will host a Green vs. Gold Scrimmage at Joseph Echols Hall beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is free.
NSU will split into two teams and play a full 40-minute game (two 20-minute halves), complete with officials and clock stoppages like a normal game. It will mark the first full game for the Spartans that fans will be allowed to watch this year.
In addition to the scrimmage, the team will also hold an open practice from 6:30-8 p.m. in Echols for fans who want to come out and watch the Spartans at an earlier time. NSU will transition from the practice directly into the green and gold scrimmage.
NSU opens its season on Nov. 14 at South Carolina, with the first home game on Nov. 17 against Washington Adventist.
