DSU, Briefly Speaking
Here are some more notes from NSU's first-round win over Del. State:
• The 25-point margin of victory was NSU's second-largest ever in a MEAC tourney game, trailing only the 26-point win over UMES (68-42) in 2001.
• All 13 players in uniform played, and 10 scored.
Rae Corbo became NSU's all-time Division I-era leading scorer (1,591 career points), passing Suawana Taylor (1,584). Corbo also moved into sixth place on the Spartans' all-time scoring list in the victory.
Kayla Roberts tallied her eighth double-double of the season.
Aivah Parham matched her season high with 12 points.
• DSU's 45 points are the second-fewest by an NSU opponent this year, trailing only Bethune-Cookman's 40 on Jan. 12.
