Both teams came cold to start the second half, but GMU was able to expand its lead to 32-18 midway through the third. However, the Spartans' deficit would quickly grow from there as the Patriots used a 13-1 run to close out the quarter. The teams played to a near draw in the fourth with GMU outscoring NSU 15-14.Â
