NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's basketball program will hold its annual Robert Jones Green and Gold Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 7-17 during two separate weeks this summer. In addition, NSU will also host a two-day team camp and a one-day elite camp in August.
 
The first Green and Gold Camp will run from June 19-22 and will feature former NSU great and current New York Knick Kyle O'Quinn. The second session will take place from Aug. 1-4. Both camps will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day inside Joseph Echols Hall on the campus of Norfolk State University.
 
Cost of the June camp will be $175, and cost of the August camp will be $165. There will also be a discounted rate of $295 to sign up for both sessions.
 
Current and former NSU players will provide instruction on basic skill development on an if-needed basis as well as fundamental skills and overall player development. Stations will focus on dribbling, ball-handling, shooting, rebounding and defensive techniques. There will also be contests and organized games between campers.
 
T-shirts will be provided for each participant, and campers must provide their own lunch each day.
 
The elite camp will take place on Aug. 6 and will be open to players entering grades 10-12. Cost of the camp is $50. It will include daily player clinics, instruction from the NSU coaching staff, breakdowns and speed and agility drills. Players will also receive a camp T-shirt and shorts. Snacks will also be available for purchase.
 
The Spartan basketball program will also hold a team camp from Aug. 12-13. Cost of the team camp is $325.
 
A certified athletic trainer will be on hand during each of the four camp sessions.
