| By:
NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State-Howard men's basketball game set for Monday, Jan. 4 will be aired live on ESPNU as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference announced its basketball television schedule on Tuesday afternoon. In addition, the NSU-HU game set for Sunday, Jan. 3 will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Jan. 4 game will be shown to a national television audience beginning at 7 p.m. from NSU's Joseph Echols Hall. This will mark the ninth year in a row Norfolk State will have at least one MEAC game on ESPNU. It will also be the only MEAC game this year for NSU that will be played on a weekday.

The Jan. 3 contest, meanwhile, will begin at approximately 4:30 p.m. following the conclusion of the Norfolk State women's game with North Carolina Central.

In addition to the NSU-Howard contest on Jan. 4, other MEAC games on ESPN television networks this year include:
  • Saturday, Jan. 23: North Carolina A&T State at North Carolina Central, 12 p.m., ESPNU
  • Monday, Feb. 1: North Carolina Central at Howard, 9 p.m., ESPN2
  • Monday, Feb. 8: Morgan State at Howard, 7 p.m., ESPNU

ESPN+ will carry all other Howard MEAC games, both home and away, as well as all other North Carolina Central home games.

All games will be available on the ESPN App. The men's and women's championship games of the 2021 MEAC Basketball Tournament will be live on ESPN networks, with specific network designations determined later in the season.

The Spartans (3-2) are set to take on UNC Wilmington on Friday at 4 p.m. at Echols Hall.
