The Norfolk State Department of Athletics announced Wednesday that it will continue to require proof of a COVID-19 vaccine or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of all athletic events for fans moving forward.

The protocols were instituted for the Homecoming football game on Oct. 16 and will remain in place until further notice. All external visitors registering for and attending events at Norfolk State University are expected to abide by University COVID-19 guidelines, which are based on CDC guidance, and are subject to change as conditions warrant. Masking is required indoors, regardless of vaccination status, except when actively eating or drinking. Outdoors, masking is highly encouraged per CDC recommendations.

If a minor is too young to be vaccinated, they will be admitted as long as they are accompanied by an adult who meets the criteria.
