NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk State men's basketball team is ranked 23rd in the latest Division I Mid-Major Top 25 Poll released Monday by the web site
CollegeInsider.com.
The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast, Western Athletic. A panel of coaches from those leagues votes on the poll each week.
Reigning NCAA runner-up Gonzaga tops this week's poll. The Spartans entered the poll after holding a 7-1 record through games of Nov. 28. The Spartans, who have wins over teams from the Ohio Valley, Mid-American, CAA, SWAC and Big South already this year, are the only HBCU in this week's poll.
