NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State Athletics will serve as the host for the 2020 MEAC Volleyball Championship. The tournament will feature four teams and take place on Friday and Saturday at Joseph Echols Hall.

The first semifinal on Friday will begin at 4 p.m. and will feature South No. 1 seed North Carolina A&T against North No. 2 seed Delaware State. After the conclusion of that match, North No. 1 seed Coppin State will take on South No. 2 seed North Carolina Central at 7 p.m. Only the top two teams from each division advanced to this year's tournament.

Winners of the two semifinals will face off for the MEAC title on Saturday at 6 p.m. live on ESPNU. This year's MEAC champion will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Championship.

Tickets are available for the championship through the NSU Ticket Office, open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 per day and can also be purchased online. Per COVID-19 protocols, a maximum of 500 people will be allowed into Echols Hall.

The semifinals will also be streamed live through the NSU Athletics website, www.NSUSpartans.com/Watch. Streaming passes are available for $10 and are good for both matches on Friday. Saturday's final will be available through the ESPN app in addition to a live broadcast on ESPNU.

After the fall 2020 season was postponed to the spring of 2021, this year's MEAC Volleyball Championship will still be considered the 2020 championship for record-keeping purposes.
