EARLYSVILLE, Va. – Fridah Koech paced the Norfolk State women's cross country team for the second meet in a row, clocking a season-best time for the Spartans on Friday at the University of Virginia Invitational.
Koech finished the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes, 58.7 seconds to finish 36th overall.
Kara Grant was the next-highest NSU finisher, placing 62nd in 20:17.3, while
Tynniesia Wilson rounded out the Spartans' contingent with a 75th place finish in 20:58.2.
The Spartans have off until the Virginia XC23 Invitational back at the same Panorama Farms course on Oct. 15.
