NORFOLK, Va. – Riding a five-game win streak, the Norfolk State women's basketball team returns to Echols Hall on Monday, Nov. 28 for its first home matchup in three weeks, facing Campbell at 5:30 p.m.

The Spartans (6-1) and Fighting Camels (3-2) showdown will mark the start of a three-game homestand at Echols. NSU hosts Hampton (2-3) on Thursday at 6 p.m., before closing the week against NJIT (4-3) on Saturday at 1 p.m.

NSU defeated Marshall 48-43 in Savannah, Ga. on Wednesday evening, the Spartans' third victory in three days at the inaugural Hostilo Hoops Community Classic. Kierra Wheeler took most valuable player honors, while the Spartans retuned home as the first event's first champions.

Wheeler was the lone Spartan to score in double-figures against the Herd, while Niya Fields posted all nine of her points in the third quarter.

Campbell picked up comfortable wins over two MEAC teams, North Carolina Central and South Carolina State, before dropping a road bout at Virginia on Wednesday. The Fighting Camels are led by a prolific shooter in graduate student Shy Tuelle, averaging 14.0 points per game and converting 65.6 percent of her 3-point attempts this season.
