NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State star
Federico Rebecchini has been named to the All-MEAC Second Team, the conference announced on Tuesday. It is the second consecutive season Rebecchini has earned All-MEAC honors.
Â
The Verona, Italy native has shouldered the load of No. 1 singles for the Spartans the entire season, posting a 7-7 record in that department and a 4-6 total at No. 1 doubles. He recorded singles victories against Longwood, Loyola Maryland, Howard, Coppin State, Hampton, and Virginia State, earning MEAC Men's Player of the Week honors on Apr. 13. Â
Â
The award marked Rebecchini's second All-MEAC selection, receiving first team honors as a junior. He becomes the first NSU men's tennis player to land on an All-MEAC team in consecutive seasons since Daniel Grauel in 2014 and 2015.
