Lennon Selected MEAC Rookie of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State freshman running back Jordin Lennon was selected Monday as the MEAC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced.

Lennon had the best game of his young collegiate career on Saturday in the Spartans' loss to St. Francis. He ran 10 times for 80 yards and his first collegiate touchdown, a 26-yarder in the second quarter for NSU's first score. The Spartans ended the game with 254 rushing yards, a season high.

Lennon is NSU's first weekly MEAC award winner of the season.

The Spartans are back in action this Saturday at Sacred Heart at 1 p.m.
