MECHANICSVILLE, Va. – Making her Spartan debut, sophomore
Mercyline Kimaiyo finished 22nd overall on Saturday morning to lead the NSU women's cross country team at its season-opener, the Spider Alumni Open at Pole Green Park.
Kimaiyo crossed the line with a time of 14 minutes, 11.8 seconds in the 4K race.
Tynniesia Wilson was the next Spartan finisher with a time of 15:27.6 in 63rd place.
Faith Jemutai rounded out the Spartans who competed Saturday with a time of 16:45.7.
The Spartans are off this coming week before returning to action on Sept. 16 at the U.Va. Invitational in Earlysville.
