NORFOLK, Va. | The Norfolk State University Spartan softball team hits the road this weekend for its first road trip of the season competing in the Purple/Gold Invitational hosted by East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.
The Spartans (7-8) head into the weekend looking to find a win as the team has dropped their last five contests. Led by senior outfielder
Imani Moore at the plate and senior pitcher
Alexis Robinson in the circle, NSU will wrap up it's early season tournament slate this weekend before getting into MEAC league play next weekend, March 18-19, when they host Howard University for a three game series.
Norfolk State will take on East Carolina University and the University of Massachusetts twice this weekend, pending weather, playing each team once on Saturday, March 11, and Sunday, March 12. Game times are set for 2:30 PM and 5 PM on Saturday, and 10 AM and 12:30 PM on Sunday.
