DURHAM, N.C. – Norfolk State track and field athletes battled the conditions over the weekend, excelling at the Duke Invitational.
Gidion Sigei and Victor Jumo shined in the 5,000 meters against top national competition. Sigei finished the race in 17
th with a time of 14:24.70, while Jumo posted a 14:47.68 on the rain-soaked track.

Arieana Parker recorded a hammer throw of 142 feet, 11 inches, overcoming extremely windy surroundings.
