NORFOLK, Va. – Continuing to showcase Norfolk State University as an institution where student athletes can reach their fullest potential both in the classroom and on the playing surface, six members of the Norfolk State tennis program were named to the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams on Tuesday afternoon.

Four players from the NSU women's tennis team received the recognition:
Breana Cook,
Aleksandra Evdokimova,
Zada McMorris, and
Laura Ruiz.

On the men's side, two players earned the nod:
Ibrahim Abbas and
Federico Rebecchini.
Â
The all-academic teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. All-District honorees advance to the All-America ballot, with a chance to earn a spot on the 2022-23 CSCÂ Academic All-America teams.

The organization will announce the men's All-America honors on Wednesday, May 31 at 12 p.m. The women's team will be announced the following day, June 1, at 12 p.m. as well.
