NORFOLK, VA. --- Norfolk State linebacker AJ Richardson and quarterback Vinson Berry have earned weekly MEAC honors, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
 
Richardson earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, recording 18 tackles with seven solo stops. Richardson also registered 5.5 tackles for a loss of 20 yards, 2.0 sacks, and one interception with a 32-yard return.
 
Berry earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors following the first start of his collegiate career. Berry recorded 221 yards on 16-of-31 passes, including a 43-yard touchdown throw.
 
Norfolk State will return to action on Oct. 26 for Homecoming, taking on Howard at 2 p.m. at William "Dick" Price Stadium.
