SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Norfolk State men's basketball team landed six student-athletes on the HBCU All-Star Game Watch List, released by HBCU All Stars LLC earlier this week.

A talented group of veterans represented the Spartans on the watch list: guards
Christian Ings,
Jaylani Darden,
Brian Moore Jr., and
Sin'Cere McMahon, as well as forwards
Kuluel Mading and
Tyrel Bladen.

The HBCU All-Star Game features the nation's top HBCU basketball players from the SWAC, MEAC, CIAA, SIAC, as well as Tennessee State Hampton and North Carolina A&T State Universities. The event featured a double-header played at the Freeman Coliseum on Sunday, April 6, 2025, highlighting the final 24 men and 24 women from the watch list.

The men's game will start at 1 p.m. CT, 2 p.m. ET. The event will kick off Wednesday, April 2 with a full week of events including, but not limited to an HBCU All-Stars College Admissions Fair, Community Fun Day, Tip-Off Welcome Reception, Awards Ceremony, and Social Justice & Civil Rights panel discussion.

With six student-athletes featured, Norfolk State landed the most players on the watch list of any school this season.
