COLUMBIA, Mo. --- The Spartans hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to Missouri to take on the Tigers on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. in Columbia, Mo.
Norfolk State earned a come-from-behind victory over Longwood on Thursday, Nov. 7, 71-62 to move to 2-0 behind
Diamond Johnson's 32-point night and
Kierra Wheeler's first double-double of the 2024-25 campaign.
Sunday marks the first meeting between the Tigers and the Spartans. Norfolk State is 0-2 all-time against SEC institutions and is seeking its first Power Five conference win in the school's Division I history.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- Missouri currently holds a 1-1 record on the season, picking up its first win against Southern 66-51 on Thursday, Nov. 7
- Sophomore guard Grace Slaughter leads UM in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game.
- Senior forward Laniah Randle (11.5 ppg) and junior guard Ashton Judd (10.0 ppg) also average double figures for the Tigers.
- Head coach Robin Pingeton enters her 15th season with the Tigers. She is currently 237-201 at Missouri and has 29 years of head coaching experience (571-358)
- Missouri finished last season 11-19 overall with a 2-14 record in the SEC.
