NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's and women's tennis teams earned several academic awards from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), including All-Academic Team honors for both the men's and women's programs.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale.
In addition to the team recognitions, Norfolk State landed several ITA Scholar Athletes: Anber Fuller, Irina Iurea,
Laura Ruiz, and Sabina Iurea made up the women's honorees, while
Antoni Pankowski,
Boris Lunin, and
Jakub Solarski earned the accolades on the men's side.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, students must have a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year.
