NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's basketball team closes its nonconference slate on Monday evening, facing Washington Adventist at 5 p.m. on Jan. 20.

The Spartans (12-8, 3-1 MEAC) look to bounce back after an excruciatingly close loss to Morgan State last week, a result which came down to the final seconds.

Terrance Jones nearly willed the Spartans to victory against the Bears, putting together a career performance. The graduate guard logged a career-best 20 points, shooting 6-of-11 from the field and 3-of-8 from behind the arc.

Sin'Cere McMahon added 13 points, contributing all his scoring totals in the second half. Brian Moore Jr. also scored in double figures with 11 points.

Monday will mark the fourth meeting between Norfolk State and Washington Adventist in the programs' history, and the first since the 2015-16 season. The Spartans have won all three matchups, earning victories by an average of 23.3 points.

Monday's game will air live on ESPN+, with Ross Gordon and Woube Gebre on the call. Radio coverage will be available on WNSB 91.1 FM.
