CARY, N.C. – The Norfolk State men's cross-country team continued its dominance on Saturday afternoon, winning its sixth consecutive MEAC Cross Country Championship.
Lewis Too claimed the individual title with a time of 24:20.60, becoming the first Spartan to win the top medal since
Gidion Sigei in 2023.
Norfolk State posted finishes of 1-3-10-14-27 for 55 total points to secure the team championship. Delaware State placed second with 70 points, while North Carolina Central finished third with 91.
Mathew Kipkoech followed Too in third place, completing the 8K course in 24:44.40 to earn All-MEAC honors.
Jemmel Green also placed in the top 10, recording a time of 25:36.40 and earning All-MEAC recognition.
Basil Koech finished 14th with a time of 25:53.70 to earn All-MEAC accolades, while
Nimporembere Drogba rounded out the Spartan scorers in 27th at 27:38.10.

Kenneth Giles earned his 22nd MEAC Most Outstanding Coach award as a cross-country coach.
Norfolk State will now prepare for the NCAA Southeast Regionals, taking place on Nov. 14 in Charlottesville, Va.
